EFRC Training Workshop 2019 and lookout on 2020
On June 26th and 27th 2019 nearly 50 engineers, active in the field of reciprocating compressors, gathered for the 4th EFRC training session. At TNO’s office in Delft, located on the Campus of the Technical University, 35 participants and 13 presenters met and introduced themselves during lunch.
The first part of the training focused on basic principles, related to reciprocating compressors and their systems. In the afternoon, speakers by NAM, Howden, Hoerbiger and Haug presented in a plenary session. In the evening the participants and the trainers had dinner at “De Waag”, in the historic town of Delft. The following morning, the basic training was finalised with presentations by speakers from Cook, Prognost and NEAC.
For the second part of the program, participants had the option to choose between two specialised topics. In parallel sessions, the conference room was split, and the training continued after lunch. One session on ”Pulsation and Vibration Control” was hosted by speakers from TNO and Dynaflow. The other session focused on “Control of Emissions” and was hosted by Hoerbiger, TNO and NAM.
The event was much appreciated by participants and offered a suited program for all, both new engineers as well as experienced experts. The training program including the breaks and catering events offered also opportunities to meet fellow engineers and share experiences.
The next training event will be organized during the 12th EFRC Conference in Warsaw on September 2nd and 3rd. The central topic of this half-day training will be “Trouble-shooting techniques for reciprocating compressor systems”. Participation to this training is conveniently combined with conference attendance. For further detailed information, see the conference website on www.recip.org.
